No. Splitting runs entirely in your browser. Your file never leaves your device and is never stored anywhere.

How does StackSplitter detect where a new document starts?

Either by barcode or QR code – pages with a detected code are treated as separator sheets and automatically removed on export – or by a text marker: you enter a search pattern, e.g. Invoice, and every matching page starts a new document.

Can I correct the automatic split afterwards?

Yes. In the page preview grid you can manually add or remove splits and mark pages for removal before downloading the detected documents as a ZIP.
